Granville is a populated place situated in Greenlee County, Arizona, United States.[2] Named after a pioneer prospector, it was originally settled in order to supply timber to Metcalf, Arizona. The original settlement is no longer extant, and Granville Recreation Area now exists in the area. The campground has only tap water and restrooms, but allows hikers to access many large trails in the Blue Range Primitive Area.[3] The site appeared on a 1956 Shell highway map for San Francisco Examiner staff, with a listed elevation of 6,948 ft.[4] It has an estimated elevation of 6,687 feet (2,038 m) above sea level.[1]
