Grape Vine Productions is an British independent production company founded in May 2018 by actor/director Joel Edwards and British cinematographer partner Guy Christopher Hurd.
History[edit]
GrapeVine started when Edwards was having trouble financing the film "Brother Yun (2019)". According to Samuel, "Joel has a strong unique passion to make Brother Yun (2019' and nothing was going to stop him".
Unlike most other independents, Grape Vine internally funds most of its development and packaging costs, mainly by Edwards and Hurd, allowing it to retain creative control of projects through production.
Edwards has explained that the company's name was chosen because of the meaning 'vine' in the bible. The inspiration came from John chapter 15. The name is a constant reminder of the goal GrapeVine have; to share the gospel.
In June 2018, it was announced that GrapeVine UK would crowd fundraise for the upcoming movie 'Brother Yun (2019).
