Gravwell, an American technology company founded in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, is a flexible full-stack analytics platform[1] built to transform huge amounts of machine data into actionable knowledge.

In 2017, Gravwell was founded by cybersecurity experts Corey Thuen and Kris Watts. Founded due to an explicit need for large scale, fully unstructured data ingestion, they developed the platform to allow deployment in the cloud, on-premises, or in an isolated on-premises network lacking outside network connectivity. It has a number of use cases focused on Security, DevOps, Data Science, and many others. The highly concurrent and distributed platform was built from the ground up using Go to take advantage of modern hardware.[2]

The company received significant Seed funding from Gula Tech Adventures on Dec 1, 2017[3] a cyber security veteran run fund.

In 2017 during a large Net Neutrality debate, Gravwell entered the global spotlight by processing 22 million comments submitted to the FCC website, discovering only 3.8 million comments were unique.[4] The discovery that more than one million comments against net neutrality had come from smut site pornhub.com email addresses created a cause for concern among campaigners.[5]
