The Greater Toledo Inline Hockey League (GTIHL) is an "corporated not-for-profit association" which operates an inline hockey league, consisting of three divisions (Gold, Silver, Bronze) with a combined total of 39 member clubs. Headquartered in Toledo, Ohio, the GTIHL is considered one of the premier inline hockey leagues in the state.

The league was established on February 9, 2013 in Toledo, Ohio and currently operates at the Ottawa Park Ice Rink. The GTIHL draws many highly skilled players in the Gold division but also contains many beginning players new to the sport of inline hockey in the Bronze division.[1]

Since the leagues first year of operation, there have been over 600+ players competing across the three different leagues.[2]

Mission[edit]

The mission of the Greater Toledo Inline Hockey League is to provide the local community with a family friendly inline hockey league that will exceed the participant's expectations. The league will be a place where all talent levels can have fun and be competitive in the great sport of inline hockey. The Greater Toledo Inline Hockey League committee will always be professional, courteous and will place a significant emphasis on the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, respect for the game, and community involvement.[3]

Vision[edit]

The vision is to become the leader in development and growth of the dynamic sport of inline hockey in Northwest Ohio and to enjoy the game of inline hockey at its best, while also teaching the necessary team building skills both on and off the rink.[4]

The Rink[edit]

The Greater Toledo Inline Hockey League currently plays out of the Ottawa Park Ice Rink located at 2200 West Bancroft Street Toledo, Ohio 43606.[5] The Ottawa Park Ice Rink is an outdoor facility and therefore can only operate as an ice rink between the months of December to mid-March and is opened weather permitting. The Greater Toledo Inline Hockey League then leases the Ottawa Park Ice Rink from the City of Toledo during the months of April to October.
