Greatest Idol (グレイテスト・アイドル) is the debut studio album by Vocaloid producer Mitchie M, released November 6, 2013, by Sony Music Entertainment Japan. The album charted at number 6 on both the Oricon and Billboard Japan charts.[1][2][3]

Background

Mitchie M made his debut on video-sharing website NicoNico Douga on July 15, 2011 with a song titled Cosmic Ballad. Soon after, on July 31, 2011, he released the song FREELY TOMORROW, which became the fastest Vocaloid song to reach one million views on Niconico, taking only 20 days, 6 hours, and 4 minutes.[3][4] Over the course of the next two years, Mitchie M released songs on Niconico such as Viva Happy (ビバハピ), Ai Dee (愛Dee), Ageage Again (アゲアゲアゲイン) (which was used as the theme song for Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2), and many more. The album includes all of Mitchie M's previous works (besides Cosmic Ballad) that were published on Niconico, and included some new songs as well.

Artwork

The album artwork was done by the artist Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, who had been interested in Hatsune Miku and accepted to do the album artwork.[5][6]
