Green Isac Orchestra is a Norwegian band, originally founded by Andreas Eriksen and Morten Lund in the 1990s. In 2007, the band expanded to an instrumental quintet, thus adding Tov Ramstad, Frode Larsen and Jo Wang, consequently changing their name from Green Isac to Green Isac Orchestra. The band name was inspired by the song 'Green Isaac' by English pop band Prefab Sprout.[1]
The quintet has for several years had a series of concerts at Kampen Bistro in Oslo by the name Etnotronica, and played Victoria National Jazz Scene in 2015.[2]
Green Isac Orchestra originally released on the record label Origo Sound, but has since 2001 released five albums on Spotted Peccary, most recently the six track album b a r in 2020.
