Greenwich Vietnam is an international partnership between FPT University and the University of Greenwich, UK, established in 2009. With the mission of improving the quality of Vietnamese human resources towards international integration[1], Greenwich Vietnam offers original undergraduate programs from the University of Greenwich, UK.
To date, nearly 20,000 students have studied at Greenwich Vietnam at all 4 campuses: Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho.[2]
History of Formation[edit]
In 2008, while reading Tuoi Tre newspaper, Dr. Le Truong Tung - Chairman of the Board of Trustees of FPT University, the founding leader of Greenwich Vietnam, happened to read an advertisement about Greenwich University attracting Vietnamese students to study in Singapore. At that time, he thought: why do Vietnamese students have to go to Singapore to study instead of studying right in their own country? At that time, FPT proactively contacted Greenwich University, UK, and sent people to work directly. Only a short time later, the first Greenwich campus was opened in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Dr. Le Truong Tung affirmed: “Greenwich Vietnam is not simply a place where students can study a high-quality program at a reasonable cost, but it is also a representative of British higher education in Vietnam and a manifestation of educational diplomacy between the two countries. Through education, we exchange expertise, exchange culture and contribute to strengthening international relations between the two countries.
Diploma[edit]
Students who study at Greenwich Vietnam receive a bachelor's degree awarded by the University of Greenwich (UK), which is exactly the same as the degree awarded to students who study directly in the UK. This degree has global value[3].
The degrees of Greenwich Vietnam are all recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam and are accredited by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education in the UK. These degrees are all awarded by the University of Greenwich in the UK.

Greenwich Vietnam-Ha Noi[edit]
This is one of the first two campuses of Greenwich Vietnam, formerly located on Ton That Thuyet Street, Nam Tu Liem. Since 2021, the Hanoi campus has officially moved to 2 Pham Van Bach, Yen Hoa, Cau Giay, Hanoi, located at the intersection of Pham Van Bach - Duong Dinh Nghe - Trung Kinh[4].
On the afternoon of May 30, 2022, Greenwich Vietnam inaugurated a new campus in the center of Cau Giay district, Hanoi, marking the expansion of the scale of foreign university training programs from 2022[5].
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Hanoi campus, Professor Jane Roscoe - Vice Chancellor of Greenwich University highly appreciated the close partnership of more than 15 years between Greenwich University and FPT, of which Greenwich Vietnam is a representative[6].
Greenwich Vietnam - Hanoi campus is located next to the Lao Dong Newspaper office, next to the new US Embassy as well as the FPT Tower of FPT Corporation.
Greenwich Vietnam-Ho Chi Minh[edit]
Greenwich Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City Campus was also established at the same time as Hanoi Campus. Previously, the campus was divided into two locations on Pham Phu Thu and Nguyen Xi streets. Since 2021, the Ho Chi Minh City campus has officially moved to 20 Cong Hoa, Ward 12, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City.
On the morning of March 18, 2022, Greenwich Vietnam held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to open a new campus in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of British Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City[7].
Greenwich Vietnam-Da Nang[edit]
After more than 12 years in Vietnam and 4 years in Da Nang city, Greenwich Vietnam is firmly on the path to becoming a comprehensive quality international university in the central region.
Dr. Nguyen Duy Nghiem - Director of Greenwich Vietnam Da Nang campus shared: "Da Nang in particular and the central region in general are one of the regions with great economic and knowledge potential. Central students are hardworking, studious, and have good thinking. These qualities need to be nurtured in a comprehensive quality educational environment so that students can develop their professional skills and have a global competitive advantage."

Greenwich Vietnam-Can Tho[edit]
In 2018, Greenwich Vietnam officially opened in Can Tho, becoming a pioneer in organizing international undergraduate training programs in Can Tho in particular and the Mekong Delta region in general. At Greenwich Vietnam - Can Tho campus, students in the West are able to receive a standard UK education at a reasonable cost. Students studying at Greenwich Vietnam are recognized as full-time students of FPT University studying under a joint program with Greenwich University[9].

In 2022, Greenwich Vietnam launched a scholarship program with a total value of 130 billion VND, divided into many scholarships worth from 25 million VND to 100% of the full program tuition fee[10].

Greenwich Students set Vietnamese Record[edit]
Change 2022" by Greenwich Vietnam sets the record for the exhibition organized by students with the greatest number of AR graphic works, the Vietnam Records Organization announced[11].
The exhibition "Change 2022" took place from June 4, 2022, gathering nearly 500 graphic works, including 254 digital graphic works integrated with augmented reality (AR) technology by Greenwich Vietnam students, majoring in graphic design, carried out in specialized subjects and graduation projects. This is an annual exhibition, part of the bachelor's degree program in graphic design at Greenwich Vietnam. After receiving the application and careful consideration, the Vietnam Records Organization under the Central Committee of Vietnam Record Holders Association officially announced and awarded the certificate of record establishment to this unit when it owned and successfully organized the exhibition of graphic works applying augmented reality technology (Augmented Reality - AR) by students with the largest number in Vietnam.
Greenwich Global Summer School[edit]
On July 30, 2022, a group of Greenwich Vietnam students selected from Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho flew to London, UK to participate in the Global Greenwich Summer School summer course organized by the University of Greenwich, UK and funded for international students[12].
Among the countries and territories with Greenwich students participating in the summer course this year are Hong Kong, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Netherlands, Greece, Kenya, Ghana, Malawi and Bangladesh, Vietnam has the largest number of students participating.
The program was organized by Greenwich University from July 31 to August 8, 2022 to connect Greenwich students globally, helping international students have the opportunity to experience UK life and culture as well as student life at the headquarters in London, UK[13].
