Greg16676935420 is an anonymous Twitter celebrity and official fake CEO of Dogecoin made popular by his humorous gifs and comments relating to GameStop stock and crypto markets, as well as his interactions with American billionaires Elon Musk, Jack Dorsey, Mark Cuban, and other celebrities on Twitter. According to Greg's profile, Greg is from Kentuckey, he likes football, stocks, his birthday, and golfing at the golf course. He likes Oreo cookies, and has a unique dunking technique where he fills the center portion of the Oreo tray with milk and rolls the Oreo down as far as he can and sloshes it the rest of the way.[1] He also has a close relationship with Slim Jim, which was recently made "official".

Beginnings on Twitter[edit]

Greg16676935420 started his twitter @greg16676935420 on February 2021 following the first GameStop short squeeze event. He gained popularity through commenting photoshopped gifs of his internet ego, Roaring Kitty @TheRoaringKitty, and Ryan Cohen @ryancohen, the retail trader and e-commerce visionary behind the GameStop short squeeze respectively, on Roaring Kitty's posts. He also gained attention through an image series documenting a mourning dove nest in a shrub in his (Greg's) backyard. Greg is known for his long Twitter thread where he quote re-tweets "good morning" and "good night" to everyone except for those its not morning and night for. [2]

On May 10th, 2021, Greg linked Gregcoin.org to his twitter profile, a parody website created by the self-proclaimed Gregtoshi Nakamoto @realgregtoshi. A few hours after posting the Gregcoin website, Jack Dorsey, CEO of Twitter @jack, began following Greg. Greg didn't want an actual coin to be created, but months later, with Greg's permission, Gregtoshi released a joke crypto-coin on the website.[3]

Official Fake CEO of Dogecoin[edit]

After many members of the Dogecoin Army were calling both Elon Musk @elonmusk and Shibetoshi Nakamoto @billyM2k CEO of Dogecoin, Shibetoshi Nakamoto proclaimed Greg16676935420 as the official fake joke CEO of Dogecoin, in order to keep in theme with the irreverent and fun-loving aspects of Dogecoin. The Doge Army quickly embraced Greg as their new CEO, and under the suggestion of Shibetoshi, tens of thousands of "Shibes" (people who use/collect Dogecoins) began following Greg.[4]
