Gregory A. Hardin Jr. is an American football wide receiver for the Denver Broncos[1] of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at North Dakota. He signed as an undrafted free agent with the Denver Broncos shortly after the 2014 NFL Draft.

High school career

Hardin went to high school at Bellevue West High School. Hardin was a 2009 graduate of Bellevue West. He was the 2008 team captain for Bellevue West. He was named to the all-state, All-Nebraska (Omaha World Herald), and all-conference first teams. Hardin was selected to the 2007 all-district first team. Hardin also excelled in basketball, being a three-year letterwinner in it.[2]

Redshirt freshman

Hardin made eight starts and appeared in 10 games as a redshirt freshman. He led UND in most receiving categories: including catches (41), yardage (736), touchdown receptions (9) and average yardage per reception (18.0). Hardin was named to the All Great West second team by the league’s head coaches in his first collegiate season. He earned his first letter following the 2010 season.[2]

Sophomore

Hardin made nine starts before suffering a season-ending injury. He still led UND receivers in receptions (43), receiving yards (549) and receiving touchdowns (3). Hardin was named to the All Great West first team by the league's head coaches and media. He earned his second letter following the 2011 season.[2]

Junior

Hardin finished the season with 1145 yards (second in UND history) and 14 touchdown receptions (tied for first in UND history with Weston Dressler). Both of those totals were second best in the Big Sky. He was named the College Football Performance Awards FCS Elite Wide Receiver of the Year for the 2012 season. Hardin led the Big Sky in all-purpose yardage average (151.6) and kickoff return yardage average (31.6) during the 2012 season. On October 20, 2012, in a game against Montana, Hardin put up a UND and Big Sky Record for most receiving yards in a game with 333. On September 8, 2012, against Portland State, Hardin caught 6 passes for 190 yards and 3 touchdowns. One of his catches was No. 2 on SportsCenter's top 10 plays of the week. He earned his third letter following the 2012 season.[2]

Senior

Hardin earned his fourth letter following the 2013 season. He was selected as a third-team All-American by the Associated Press.[3]

Denver Broncos

On May 11, 2014, Greg Hardin signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Denver Broncos shortly after the 2014 NFL Draft.[5]

Personal life

Hardin graduated from UND in 2014. Hardin majored in marketing. He is the son of Greg Sr. and Jackie Hardin.
