Greg Rider Farrell (born June 22 1990) is a Canadian singer and songwriter. Born in Mississauga, Ontario, Greg knew he was destined to be an entertainer. From a young age, he always loved connecting with an audience and being on stage, which eventually developed into a passion for music. Greg moved to Waterdown, Ontario at the age of 3, where he grew up as a teenager.

Music had been an influence on Greg, but he never did anything to pursue it until his 20’s. In time, this was to change. As he built his confidence, he began to play locally in a duo. When the duo disbanded, it was time for Greg to take his next leap of faith. He accepted a job as a Bartender in the Cayman Islands and spent his off time writing and performing at open mic opportunities. One day, he met someone who convinced him he should be in Nashville and not long after that, he made the move. Since living in Nashville, Greg has submerged himself in music and grown considerably as an artist and songwriter. He had the chance to play on Grand Ole Opry radio station “WSM” and played at the renowned venue Whiskey Jam. For one year, he had a full-time residency on Nashville Broadway’s top venues and was playing full-time at FGL House (Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean) with his band. Greg also played acoustic gigs around town and participated in weekly writing rounds at the most respected venues in Nashville.

She Don't Matter

"She Don't Matter" is Greg Rider's first release on digital streaming platforms and, as the artist says himself, it was also the first song he wrote, "This song was the first song that I ever FINISHED. It means a lot to me because when I started playing out, people enjoyed it and gave me confidence in my songwriting. My music is getting stronger and I’m excited for what’s to come, but this song will always hold a special place in my heart.”

Temporary

Greg Rider's follow up single "Temporary" was released during his time in Nashville. He went on Nashville's Next With Benny podcast to talk about the song, "When we were sitting down at the writing we just said to ourselves you know, we've both had this title Temporary in our phone and, I've said to someone it's like, I've said to one of the writer you know no one wants to be temporary because like, at the end of the day no one jumps into a relationship, no one jumps into a job or a career and says hey this is just something I want for a couple months, I want this just temporary, and it's just like we want that person, we want that obviously that love, we want that thing, that love to last, we want our career to last and belonging".

Baby Girl

Greg Rider's last single up to this day, "Baby Girl", was inspired by his days back in college reflecting on how he was with girls at that time, "I wasn't proud of how I treated women back in college. It seemed like a game and just a story to tell the boys. It wasn’t until I started thinking about my future when I realized that if I have a baby girl one day, I wouldn’t want her to being treated with disrespect. It’s a message that a lot of men need to hear and I hope this song inspires one guy to change his ways."
