Greg Silverman

Greg Silverman is the CEO and Founder of Stampede Ventures and a former President of Production at Warner Bros. Pictures.
Early Life[edit]
Greg Silverman was born in Pretoria, South Africa on August 18, 1972. He was raised in San Diego, California, where he attended La Jolla Country Day School and the San Diego Jewish Academy.
Degree and Early Career[edit]
Silverman attended Stanford University where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communications. After graduating, he started his career in the industry creating props for the film Two Guys Talkin' About Girls (1996). He was referred to and hired at Tri-Star and Mandeville Films where he worked as an assistant before Joining Mad Chance as an Executive Producer.
Career[edit]
In 1997, he was hired at Warner Bros. as a Junior Executive Producer. Silverman has assisted in movies A Perfect Murder (1998), The Matrix (1999), and Cats & Dogs (2001). In the same year, Greg Silverman left Warner Bros. for a higher title at Revolution Studios where he oversaw America's Sweethearts (2001) and The One (2001) and the New Guy (2002). Silverman returned to Warner Bros. Pictures in 2002 as the Vice Present of Production. He was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2004 and then to Executive Vice President in 2007. While in this position Greg Silverman worked on The Bucket List (2007), Get Smart (2008), Yes Man (2008), Gravity (2013).

Resignation[edit]
In June of 2013, Silverman was named the President of Creative Development and Worldwide Production. During this time, he produced many films. On December 14, 2016, Silverman announced his resignation to form Stampede Ventures, an independent entertainment company.
