From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Gregg Ryder is an English-born football manager. He was born and raised in Newcastle upon Tyne on January 11, 1988. Following high school, Ryder moved to the United States on a soccer scholarship, attending Cardinal Stritch, WI, and Viterbo, WI. After a successful 4 and a half years in college, Ryder secured a job with IBV, Iceland, initially coaching younger age groups before being promoted to Assistant Manager alongside Hermann Hreidarsson and David James. Following great success in the Europa League, Ryder was offered the managerial role at Þróttur Reykjavík. At 25, he became the youngest manager to take control of an Icelandic team in the top two divisions.[1]

Ryder took charge of Þróttur Reykjavík in 2013. The club had previously finished one place above the relegation zone. In his first season, Ryder led the team to a third-place finish, one place below the promotion positions, and reached the national cup quarter-final.[2] In his second full season, Ryder achieved promotion to the Icelandic Premiership, becoming the youngest manager in recorded history to do so.[3] However, Þróttur was relegated the following year and returned to the Icelandic first division. Ryder remained with Þróttur until April 2018. He is currently linked with becoming the new manager of Livingston FC, in Scotland.
