Gregory Mathew Malayil CMI (born 6 December 1970) is a professor of philosophy of science at Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram Bangalore, India. He is a Catholic priest of the Syro-Malabar Church and belongs to the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate Congregation (CMI)[1] He is the author of several journal articles including “A Thermodynamic Approach to the Kinetics of Environmental Pollution,” Journal of Dharma 39, 3 (July–September 2014), 285.[2]
Education
He completed his secondary school education (SSLC) at St. Aloysius High School, Athirampuzha,[3] in 1986. After completing his SSLC, he completed his Pre-Degree (1988) and BSc (Physics, 1991) from Kuriakose Elias College, Mannanam, Kottayam.[4] He received his postgraduate degree MSc (Physics) from St. Berchmans’ College, Changanassery,[5] in 1993. He was awarded a PhD in Physics by Cochin University of Science and Technology in 1999. Afterwards, in 2005, he joined the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate and, after his initial formation in religious life, he pursued his Master of Arts in Philosophy (2008) at Christ University, Bengaluru, and a Bachelor of Theology at Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram, Bengaluru (2012). He was ordained a priest in 2013.
