Grey (styled in all lowercase) is the upcoming debut album by American singer Jayden Winter, set to be released on June 26, 2019 by wiinter records, a division of Jayden Townsend recordings. Following the release of the first single off the album Gone Boy (2018), Winter began working on this album in September of the same year, enlisting writers and producers such as Myles Murray, Alex Sanchez, Kaleigh Carpenter and Kyoshii. The album has lyrics that date back to a personal time for Winter, including his father who was in prison, and the friendships that ended tragically over the past few years.

Better Without U was the first full-length single from the album released on January 25, 2019, which peaked over two-hundred views in it's first twenty-four hours on YouTube, and accumulated over one thousand streams on Spotify in it's first week. Apart from this single, Winter has been consistent with constant snippets of collaborations and upcoming singles on this album.
Background[edit]
In December 2017, Winter uploaded a video to YouTube saying goodbye to one of his closest friends. He detailed that the relationship would stay healthy between them but that because this friendship meant so much to him, that it would affect him mentally. Months later, Winter announced that he would be releasing a digital series discussing a lot of personal information that he had kept hidden from the public. Winter admitted that he was sexually assaulted as a child, and that it had haunted him ever since he was a child. He later in the series discussed how his friendship with Kiki Williams was basically non-existent and how they hadn't really talked in months. Shortly after his series, Winter announced that he had been working on new music and that being in the musical environment had really been a release to him.
