Grosvenore House, of the address 7 Grosvenor Street Chester, postcode CH12DD, was erected between 1898-1899 as a Nurses' home. The building was designed by Chester based architects of the day Douglas & Minshull. This was one of many buildings designed for their most important patron, the Grosvenor family of Eaton Hall, namely Richard Grosvenor, 2nd Marquess of Westminster; Hugh Grosvenor, 1st Duke of Westminster; and Hugh Grosvenor, 2nd Duke of Westminster.

The first tenants were the trustees of the Chester benevolent Institution. Whereas today the building is owned by PSR Solicitors, a leading firm of Solicitors in Chester.

The Building was extendedin 1902-1903 at the expense of the then Duke of Westminster "for the benefit of charity".

The property continued as a Nurses' Home for Chester & Districk Nursing Association until 1960, when the tenancy was taken over by the Ministry of Works who oversaw the building being converted into offices for the use of the Women's voluntary services
