In January 2020, private equity firm Cortec Group invested in Groundworks.[3] During COVID-19, the national Serve and Support Initiative created a partnership with local restaurants to provide family meals for its essential employees.[4][5]

Mergers and acquisitions

2016: Groundworks became the majority shareholder of JES Foundation Repair,[6] and Evergreen Basement Systems merged with JES Foundation Repair.[7][8]

2017: JES, a Groundworks subsidiary, acquired NC-based Tar Heel Basement Systems, SC-based Mount Valley Foundation Services, and Indiana Foundation Service.[9][10]

2018: Groundworks acquired Independence Materials Group, KBH Management Software, and Missouri-based Foundation Recovery Systems.[11][12] Tar Heel Basement Systems acquired Hutch Home Solutions.[13]
