Gus George Bebas (24 February 1914 – 19 July 1942) was an American naval aviator and a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross for his service during the Battle of Midway. He was killed during World War II after losing control of a plane during a practice dive in Hawaii.[1] The USS Bebas (DE-10) was named in his honor.[2]
