Gustavo Molero born in Maracaibo, is a Venezuelan musician, percussionist and musical producer, who is best known as the percussionist of the band Guaco.[1]

Biography[edit]

Gustavo grew up on a musical environment, under the influence of a family of musicians between we can find characters as Gustavo Aguado, leader and founder of Guaco Band, with his brother Jose Alfonso Molero. Since early years of age, Gustavo started his learning process in the percussion world guided by family and friends, he took part of important musical contests on his school years and within time he began to manage Gaita and Venezuelan folklore bands during his academic life. Gustavo, was called to be part of the renamed superband of Venezuela: Guaco, in March 2003, having his first recording experience with the prestigious band the following year, with the album named "The sound of Venezuela" (in Spanish El sonido de Venezuela).[2]
