After his internship with Dick Clark productions, he was hired to work on the "2013 American Music Awards" creating graphics for social media, an AMAs mini web series (AMAs on Demand) and the "Coca-Cola Red Carpet Live at the 2013 American Music Awards". These were branded pieces and Gustavo had to work closely with producers to create graphics incorporating the sponsors' (Coca-Cola and Samsung) Brand Identity while keeping the show's brand intact. After that he went on to work for Billboard Music Awards 2014, Golden Gods Awards 2014 and the 4th Annual Streamy Awards.

In 2017 Gustavo joined Buzzfeed and the team of Buzzfeed Unsolved creating animated graphics for the series[2]. Buzzed Unsolved is available on Amazon Prime[3] and Hulu[4]. Unsolved, which is split into two topics, Supernatural and True Crime, is heavily graphically animated in each episode to showcase the story of each unsolved case. The show is one of Buzzfeed's most successful series. For example, the episode "The Haunting Of Hannah Williams" has over 11 million views. [5] In total all of the episodes Gustavo has worked on have over 100 million views.

In 2018 Gustavo created animated graphics for packages broadcast nationwide on ABC for Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2019. These graphics were branded specifically for YouTube Music.

In 2018 Gustavo joined the Streamy Awards Blue Ribbon Panel where he is part of the official voting body of the Streamy Awards. As one of the judges for the Streamy Awards, Gustavo helps recognize and honor excellence in online video, including directing, acting, producing, and writing[6]

In 2019 Gustavo became the Lead Motion Graphics Artist for the series Buzzfeed Unsolved.[7]
