Gutrectomy is a German extreme metal band from Lörrach, founded in 2011. The band originally played Slam slam death metal and developed their style towards slamming deathcore.
History
Gutrectomy was founded in 2011 in Lörrach by Philip Dahlenburg (guitar) and Yannick Schuler (drums). The original lineup was completed by Dennis Schuler (vocals) and Daniel Mahler on bass.
The band released their debut EP Slamageddon in 2014 through the label Rotten Roll Rex. In 2017, their first studio album Slampocalypse followed via Amputated Vein Records. After the self-released single Filius Mulieris Meretricis (2019), the EP Slaughter the Innocent was released in 2020 through Rising Nemesis Records.
In 2018, Louis Weber joined the band as the new bassist, replacing Daniel Mahler. In 2020, Simon Wernert took over drums from Yannick Schuler, but was replaced by Julien Kuny in 2023.
The second studio album Manifestation of Human Suffering was released in 2022 again through Amputated Vein Records. In 2025, their current album ANGST was released via Reality Fade.
