H.O.P.E. Alliance is a mental health organisation in Singapore based on the principle of social enterprise. They offer strengths-based recovery coaching programmes, individual and group therapy sessions.:[1]

History[edit]

H.O.P.E. Alliance was founded in January 2018[2], with the aim to provide a healthy and safe community that promotes recovery and support for peers.

Flagship projects[edit]

Creative Arts Exhibition and Talent Showcase[edit]

The Creative Arts Exhibition and Talent Showcase was held on 30 June 2018 to witness the music and art talents by peers. The Guest of Honour was then Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Ministry for Social and Family Development Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim.[3]

Music Fest of Hope[edit]

The Music Fest of Hope was held on 31 Aug 2019 to showcase the music and art talents by peers, thereby empowering them with self-confidence. Guest talents included Doorsing Selective Mutism, Beautiful Mind Charity and Bellydance Haven[4]. The event also showcased a Human Library where peers shared their mental health experiences to spark awareness and change.

Principles[edit]

The guiding principle of H.O.P.E. Alliance is that peers (persons with mental health issues) are the SEEKers of their own recovery journey[5]

  • Support — peers emotionally and socially in their journey of recovery.
  • Equip — peers with relevant life skills to manage their challenges and struggles.
  • Empower — peers to be self-reliant and to excel using their unique strengths.
  • Keep Track — of their progress in their recovery journey.

The organization supports, equips and empowers peers (persons with mental health issues) to manage their challenges, be self-reliant and excel using their unique strengths.
