In 2006, Marcia Smith launched an apparel line as a Black woman-owned and operated company.[2][3][4]
Gift Bags[edit]
In 2021, The Grammys' most inclusive and varied gift bags feature businesses owned and operated by people of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, genders, ages, disabilities, and more.[5][6][7][8] The "Respect Protect Love the Black Woman" scarf by HGC Apparel was a tribute to Black culture.[9][10][11][12][13]
BTS, Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Cardi B, Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris, Dua Lipa, John Mayer, and Post Malone were among the top performers at Grammy Awards Gift bags.[14][15][16][17]

At Foot Locker, Footaction, and Champs Sports locations, Foot Locker announced a new partnership with HGC Apparel. T-shirts, tank tops, board shorts, joggers, and hoodies bearing phrases that pay homage to the "Black and Proud" movement of the 1990s, such as "Black by Popular Demand," are part of the 12-piece men's and women's collection.[20][21][22][23]
HGC paid tribute to Paul Mooney, often known as the Godfather of Comedy, who died at the age of 79.[24]
