The H Hotel Los Angeles, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, is a 12-story, 168-room boutique hotel located at 6151 West Century Boulevard in the Westchester neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, adjacent to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The hotel opened on October 10, 2017, as the world's first H Hotel property, and shares the building with a Homewood Suites by Hilton that brings the total room count to 290.[1][not in citation given][2] The hotel is owned by Seaview Investors, LLC and managed by Azul Hospitality Group.[3]

History

The H Hotel Los Angeles was developed through the adaptive reuse of an office building originally constructed in 1962, located on West Century Boulevard near LAX.[4] Seaview Investors, LLC partnered with R.D. Olson Construction to convert the 260,000-square-foot property into a dual-branded hotel at a cost of approximately $60 million.[5]

The resulting dual-branded property houses the H Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton on floors seven through twelve, and a Homewood Suites by Hilton on floors two through six. The combined property contains 290 guest rooms. The H Hotel opened on October 10, 2017, as the inaugural property of the H Hotel brand.[1]

The property is managed by Azul Hospitality Group, which assumed management of the hotel as part of an eight-property, 1,403-room portfolio operated in partnership with Seaview Investors.[3]

Architecture and design

The hotel's design draws inspiration from the geometry of the LAX runways, incorporating an Art Deco-influenced aesthetic throughout the property.[6] Guest rooms feature 12-foot ceilings, 55-inch flat-screen televisions with Google Chromecast, and Nespresso machines.[1]

The hotel's most distinctive architectural feature is a rooftop deck offering panoramic views of LAX, the Los Angeles skyline, and the Pacific Ocean.[6]

Amenities

Dining

Waypoint Kitchen, the hotel's signature restaurant, is located on the lobby level and serves modern California cuisine, offering breakfast, dinner, and light fare.[7] The hotel also has a lobby-level Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf café and a Subway restaurant near the rear entrance.[8]

Facilities

Additional amenities include a heated outdoor swimming pool, a 24-hour fitness center, meeting and event spaces, a transit lounge, and a complimentary 24-hour shuttle service to and from LAX.[6][9]
