Habib Zayat
Habib Zayat was a writer, Orientalist, and member of the Greek Melkite Catholic Church. Born December 14, 1874, in Damascus, Syria. Married to Louise Bourgeois, a French woman, he had 6 children from that marriage. He died February 1, 1954, in Nice, France.
Habib Zayat was an important figure and pioneer in the history of the Greek Melkite Church. His writings can be found in many libraries in Europe.
While still employed by the Imperial Ottoman Bank, he used his free time to do manuscript research
