The sailing yacht Halbtrocken 4.5 is a racing yacht of the type Mills 45 made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic. Until 2019 she sailed under the name Concubine in Australia. Today she is part of the Halbtrocken Sailing Team.
Construction[edit]
The Halbtrocken 4.5 was built in 2015 as Concubine by Premier Composite Technologies in Dubai based on a design by Mark Mills. When designing the boat, Mark Mills paid particular attention to the flexibility of the boat, so that the boat can be sailed equally well both inshore and offshore..[1]
Alexela ORC World Championship 2021[edit]
When she first took part in an ORC World Championship in 2021, the Halbtrocken 4.5 took first place and thus became ORC World Champion 2021 in Class A in Tallinn, Estonia [2]. The crew that led Halbtrocken 4.5 to the title consisted of Michael Berghorn, Mareike Berghorn, Luke Molloy, Mikkel Røssberg, Jes Gram-Hansen, Hendrik Plate, Sebastian Plate, Konrad Nehrenberg, Justus Reinke, Hasso Höher, Marc Viehöfer, and Linus Döpp [3]
