Halifax Humane Society is private non-profit organization in the Greater Daytona Beach area, in Volusia County, Florida.[1] The society's mission statement says that it exists to protect animals from cruel, neglectful and exploitative treatment.[2] As an open-door 'no-kill' animal shelter that houses in excess of 25 000 animals annually, it is one of the largest humane societies in Florida.[3] The organisation has a 24-hour "puppy cam" for members of the public to enjoy live views of the puppies that have been rescued, surrendered or found.
