Hamad and the Pirates (Arabic: حمد والقراصنة) is an American-Bahraini television film produced by the Walt Disney Company and aired as part of The Wonderful World of Disney.[1] It first aired on March 7, 1971 and was considered the first Middle Eastern film produced by Disney. The star, Khalik Marshad, is the father of singer Fahad Al Kubaisi.
Plot
Hamad (Marshad) is an orphan boy. He decides to join sailors pearl hunting but is washed overboard in a storm. Though saved, he discovers his rescuers to be pirates who stole relics of the Dilmun civilization (in what is now Bahrain). He escapes them, beginning the pirate hunt.
