Hambersom M. Aghbashian, in Armenian (Համբարձում Մինաս Աղպաշեան), in Arabic (هامبرسوم ميناس أغباشيان), hold a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering . He is Armenian Genocide Researcher, author of 3 books and writer. Family Hambersom Aghbashian was born on 1948 in Baghdad to a family of Armenian heritage. He is the son of genocide survivor, late Minas Aghbashian, who in 1915, at the age of 11,was forced on a death march from Zeitoon, Cilicia (Ottoman Empire) and through the Syrian desert, lost his entire family, survived alone, and arrived in Mosul (Iraq), where he stayed in an Armenian orphanage. Years later, he settled in Baghdad, married and had five children. Hambersom's maternal grandparents are also genocide survivors from Zeitoon. Biography Hambersom Aghbashian was raised in Armenian community, and attended a private Armenian school in Baghdad, where he completed his primary education and learned the basics of Armenian, Arabic and English languages with other sciences. In 1961 He attended Al-Sharqia public Middle and High schools and in 1966 University of Baghdad- College of Engineering and graduated in 1969 with B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineer. Attended the "British Council" English language courses in Baghdad and received a completion certificate. After graduation, worked for different companies for many years in Iraq, then in 1980 established with other two engineers their own company (Atlel Engineering Contracts Co.) which had a successful business till 2003, then was interrupted by the invasion of the country. He continued his career as engineer and was employed by Bechtel Co. then CH2M Hill & Parsons JV. In 2007 was granted U.S. green card and relocated in LA-CA and became a citizen in 2013. Worked for Bechtel Co. in 2008-9 in Texas and after retirement he was involved in history and political studies in GCC. A regular writer for Nor Or, Asbarez and Massis newspapers in LA. His articles in English, Armenian and Arabic also appear in Academia.edu, Aztag, Zartonk, and RAG Mamoul in Lebanon among many others in different countries.
