Hanan Habib Hussein Dashti is a Kuwaiti makeup artist and beauty expert. Her reputation is founded on her research and experimentation in the world of cosmetology. She was one of the first women in Kuwait and the Arabian Gulf region to launch her own cosmetics brand - Hanan Dashti (internationally trademarked as HD).
Early life[edit]
Hanan was born in Kuwait, the daughter of Leila Al-Maktoufand Habib Hussein Dashti. A photographer since childhood, she chose to major in journalism and media before deciding to pursue her passion in beauty and cosmetology.
Career[edit]
In 1998 Hanan began her career by offering beauty services from her home. The first ‘Hanan Dashti Beauty Salon’ was opened in Hawally, Kuwait in 2003. This was followed by openings in Abou Halifa in 2004 and the Al Bastaki International Hotel in 2005. In 2004 Hanan Dashti created a new division in all branches to serve as a professional photography studio (HD Studio); an in-house studio for HD work. The HD cosmetics brand was established in 2005.

In 2007 Hanan published a book entitled "Beauty and Beauty Secrets by Hanan Dashti"
CSR[edit]
Hanan Dashti sponsors and attends cancer day events. Hanan also adopted the cause of children with autism in Kuwait, she sponsors and attends many events.
