Hancock County High School is a public school located in Hawesville, Kentucky for grades 9 through 12.
The high school mascot is ‘Hornets’ and it features red & gray for school colors.

This school provides students with a wide array of opportunities to actively participate in their community while remaining involved with fellow peers.
HCHS offers roles in the Choir & Musical Theatre program, sports teams such as football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, track & cross country and a sport fishing league. Along with a variety of other after-school clubs and academic programs, such as Future Farmers of America (FFA) and band.
Mrs. Ashley Rene Gorman is the principal (2021) and Mrs. Ginger Estes is Assistant Principal (2021). Hancock County, KY Superintendent Robert Asberry won the Kentucky Secondary Schools Principal of The Year award in 2021 for his service at Ohio County High School, KY. He served as principal there for five years before accepting the superintendent position in Hancock County, KY. Kentucky Representative Scott Lewis (R) of District 14 since 2019, served 6 years as Hancock Co. superintendent before serving as superintendent in Ohio Co. prior to becoming Ky-Rep.
