Haneshama Bekirbi (Heb. ืื ืฉืื ืืงืจืื) is the debut studio album by Israeli singer Motty Steinmetz. It was released in late 2017, and was popular with both ciritcs and the public, eventually receiving platinum certification.[1][2] [3]
Release and Publicity[edit]
Steinmetz had been working on the album for four years before it was released in October 2017.[4] Many notable figures including the Chief Rabbi of Israel David Lau and the mayors of Bnei Brak and Elad were at the release.[5]On October 28th, 2017, Steinmetz appeared for a interview on the Israeli Motza'ei Shabbat radio program, Motzash Chai (Heb. ืืืฆืฉ-ืื)[6], alongside Ruvi Banet. He was interviewed by host Menachem Toker, and the album's songs were played throughout the show which lasted almost two hours[7]
Platinum Certification[edit]
Haneshama Bekirbi was certified platinum[8] in June 2018. The album sold over 30,000 copies, which fulfils the requirements for a platinum album in Israel. The award was presented to Steinmetz at the Radio Kol Chai studios during the June 9th, 2018 episode of Motzash Chai.[9][10] Speaking both Hebrew and Yiddish, Steinmetz thanked all listeners and fans who had purchased the album. The English translation of his message is as follows:
"I honestly want to thank each and every one of you. I appreciate it so, so much. And directly to each and everyone, (I) sincerely thank you."
