Hannam-Chung

Hannam-Chung is a discriminatory word that is used by Radical Feminists in South Korea. There is a difference in degree, but generally, in Korea, it is considered a serious slander.

The origin of the term is Megalia, which is a radical feminist online community.

Because this term was created to insult men, this word is used mostly with aversion. The Korean court said that the term is an insulting term. Archived 2019-08-19 at the Wayback Machine</ref>

In order to criticize the reality that many people use insulting terms, DC Inside sometimes uses this term instead of using them.

It is sometimes used as a term of self-help for men who are discriminated against as Men's Inequality in society just because of gender.

Hannam-Yuchung

This word means Man-larvae. In the same vein, they call young boys Hannam Yuchung (it also means young boy-larvae).

It's never used positively. In all cases, this term is used as a serious aversion. It is mainly used to threaten young boys with death.
