Haploys
Haploys S.A.S was a start-up company created in August 2005,[1][2] in the Biopôle Clermont-Limagne, close to Clermont-Ferrand, France, by private entrepreneurs[3][4] and public grants. Its aim was to provide reusable DNA “sample chips“ for cost effective SNP genotyping and gene expression profiling of large sets of samples. The company also filed a patent for ICLEDA,[5] coining Isothermal Constrained Loop Extension DNA Amplification, with an aim to develop Biocomputers.[6] In the incapacity of raising funds for its projects during the 2008 financial crisis, the company closed operations by mid-2009.
