Hard Frost is a novel by R. D. Wingfield in the popular series featuring Detective Inspector Jack Frost, coarse, crude, slapdash – and holder of the George Cross. The novel was filmed for the ITV detective series A Touch of Frost.
Plot introduction[edit]
A young boy is missing and another is found dead in a rubbish bag, a psychopath is going around stabbing babies, a fifteen-year-old has been abducted then found naked, a petty criminal is found dead, and 3 babies are suffocated and their mother is later found dead on a railway line. With Inspector Allenby helping at a neighbouring police station Inspector Frost must investigate these cases by himself.
Frost has several suspects but will need to use all his wits to find the proof that they perpetrated these crimes.
