Harold Eric (born September 30, 1995) is an American actor, singer, comedian, voice actor, writer, and producer, best known for his role as Scotty in the HBO Max series Search Party.[1][2] His career in the entertainment industry began as a member of the Brooklyn Youth Chorus, a Grammy-winning children's choir, through which he performed with Elton John, John Legend, Natasha Bedingfield, Bette Midler, Talib Kweli, Alicia Keys, and numerous other performers.[3][4]

In 2013, he was nominated for the Jimmy Awards for his performance as Tony in West Side Story, after winning Best Actor in the Gershwin Awards (now Roger Rees Awards).[5]

Career[edit]

During his time in the Brooklyn Youth Chorus, he appeared as part of the backup chorus for Elton 60 Live at Madison Square Garden, as well as Talib Kweli's Hostile Gospel, Pt. 1.[6]

As an adult, he has appeared on Gotham (FOX) and Search Party (HBO Max), as well as in commercials for Liberty Mutual and Tadiran, the latter of which featured Morgan Freeman.[7][8][9]

In 2020, he founded Cityledge Productions, an entertainment production company that is currently producing a half-hour animated comedy series scheduled to premiere in early 2021 on various streaming platforms.[10]

Early Life and Background[edit]

He was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. He attended Williams College and graduated in 2017 with a degree in theatre and political science.

During his time at Williams, he won the Berkshire Symphony Soloist Competition.[11]
