Harris Chan is a Canadian speedcuber. He is known for being the first person to achieve a "non lucky" solve under 10 seconds[citation needed]. He has held the North American Record (NAR) for 3x3 speedsolve (single and average) 10 times; 7 times for average and 3 for single.[1] He is a PhD student at the University of Toronto.[citation needed] He graduated in 2011 from the International Baccalaureate Program at St. Robert Catholic High School in Thornhill, Ontario with a 99.7% average,[citation needed] the highest average in the York Catholic District School Board.[citation needed]
He no longer holds any Canadian records.[citation needed]
Former national records
- 3x3x3 speedsolve (single): 7.33 seconds[citation needed]
- 4x4x4 speedsolve (single): 37.08 seconds[citation needed]
- 4x4x4 speedsolve (average): 48.27 seconds[citation needed]
Surprisingly, Harris Chan is colourblind and uses bright stickers in order to distinguish between the colours on his cube.[citation needed]
