Harrison Smith
Stevie Scott III (born May 13, 2000) is an American football running back for Indian Hoosiers.
Early years Scott attend Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse, New York. As a junior, he ran for 1,418 yards on 135 carries with 21 touchdowns. Injury limited him to 3 games in 2017, however was ranked No. 89 Running back nationally by 247Sports and the No. 12 prospect in New York by Rivals. Scott committed to Indiana University on December 15, 2017.
College career As a freshman at Indiana in 2018, Scott set Indiana true freshman records with 1,137 yards, 10 touchdowns and six 100-yard games earning Honorable-mention All-Big Ten (coaches, media). As a sophomore in 2019, he started in all 11 games, rushing for 845 yards on 178 carries with 10 touchdowns leading Indiana with 96.0 all-purpose yards per game becoming Second-Team All-Big Ten (coaches, media). In 2020 as a Junior, Scott totaled 561 rushing yards (4th in the Big Ten) on 156 attempts with a total of 10 touchdowns in only 8 games resulting in another Second-Team All-Big Ten (coaches, media) honor. Scott finished his career fourth in Indiana history with 30 rushing touchdowns, fifth in total touchdowns with 32, seventh with 562 attempts, ninth with 2,543 rushing yards and tied for 10th with nine 100-yard games. Scott joined running back Anthony Thompson (1986-89) and quarterback Antwaan Randle El (1998-2001) as the only Hoosiers to score at least 10 rushing touchdowns in three-straight seasons.
On January 15, 2021 Scott declared for the NFL Draft forgoing his Senior season.
