Buddhika Harshani Ruman (born May 20, 1992) is a Sri Lankan beauty pageant titleholder crowned as Miss Grand Sri Lanka 2016. Harshani Ruman entered the modelling industry in 2015, participating in her first beauty pageant, "Derana Goya Miss Earth Sri Lanka 2015" by TV Derana Productions. She placed 2nd runner up out of the final 12 contestants. The choreographer of Miss Sri Lanka, Brian Kerkoven, singled her out and, along with National Director Asanka Atapattu, put her under intensive training in all aspects of beauty pageants. Harshani was nominated to represent Sri Lanka at Miss Tourism Universe in Beirut, Lebanon. On September 20, 2015, Harshani Ruman, hailing from Sri Lanka, was adjudged 2nd Runner Up.
In 2016, Harshani was crowned Miss Grand Sri Lanka, winning the Miss Best Figure and Miss Personality awards, which opened a second international pageant pathway for her to represent Sri Lanka in the international arena, Miss Grand International.
Personal Life
Harshani Ruman was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka. She holds a degree in Business Management and an HND in Logistics and supply chain management. She volunteered for Help Age Sri Lanka from the age of 15. In 2017, the World Peace and Diplomacy Organisation (WPDO) appointed her as a Peace Messenger for Sri Lanka. She has also volunteered for Little Hearts Sri Lanka and the Fight Cancer Team Sri Lanka.
She worked as a full-time customer service and administration officer in the logistics industry and modelled part-time. Apart from modelling, she was also a television presenter for Derana Offmarks Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Earth 2017, TV Derana, and appeared in Sri Lankan music videos.
Harshani is married to Marlon Dons and currently resides in Melbourne, Australia.

Harshani Ruman entered the pageant industry with Derana Miss Sri Lanka Earth 2015, TV Derana, and placed 3rd, winning the Miss Photogenic award. [1]
