Harshit Datta

Harshit Datta (born 15 June 1996), is an Indian Music Producer, Director, Songwriter, and Indie pop singer from Jammu, India. He started his music career in 2012 as a recording artist and has been uploading his songs to YouTube since then.

Earlier Life

Harshit Datta was born on 15 June 1996 to a Brahmin family of Jammu Province in Jammu and Kashmir state of India. He completed his high school education at Dalhousie Public School, Dalhousie (H.P). He is the son of Dr. N.K Datta and Mrs. Sarla Devi. As of June 2019, he was 23 years old. Harshit has produced over 50 songs to date, which are available for streaming on all digital music stores worldwide. He developed an interest in music at the age of 17, along with fellow local artists. He transitioned from rapping to music production. Harshit also runs his music studio and company named Divine Recordz, which has a good reputation in Jammu & Kashmir. Harshit is currently pursuing his Medical Degree (B.A.M.S) from Jammu University.

Recognition

Harshit is a Punjabi music artist who gained significant recognition when he released his song “RIDE” on April 25, 2017. The song received an outstanding response on social media and YouTube, exceeding 100,000 views. Another song that contributed to Harshit's fame was “BLUSH” released on March 12, 2017. Harshit recently released an album in January 2019 called "RAGS TO RICHES," which featured various artists. Harshit is the first artist from Jammu to collaborate on an international level with a famous Canadian rapper, ‘Mitchel Bailey’, who is an iTunes top chart artist in Canada. They performed a track together called “LET ME IN,” which was a hit song in Canada and received over 100,000 plays on Spotify and other digital stores.

Harshit has always believed in hard work and positive thinking. He is currently a verified Spotify, Shazam, and JioSaavn artist with a blue badge. He also has a strong fan base on social media – Instagram and Facebook. He is a well-known personality among young artists in Jammu & Kashmir.
