Hashim Mbita

Hashim Mbita (1933 – April 2015) was an influential Tanzanian military and political strategist who served as the Executive Secretary of the Organisation of African Unity’s (OAU) Liberation Committee, responsible for supporting African countries that were still under colonial rule when the OAU was formed in 1963.[1] Mbita served in the Tanzanian Army and retired as a Brigadier General. He died in 2015. [2]
