Hasht Bihisht Bagh

Hasht Bihisht Bagh, also known as Bhistbag Mahal is a garden-palace complex located in Ahmednagar, in the Indian state of Maharashtra.[1]
History
The complex was likely built during the reign of Burhan Nizam Shah I or his successor Husain Nizam Shah. Murtaza Nizam Shah I retired here for 12 years, and made some additions to the complex.[1]
Description
The surviving remnants of the complex include an octagonal pool, with an octagonal pavilion in the middle, and an entrance pavilion on the eastern end of the pool. Very few traces of the garden survive, except for wells which were used to supply it with water, as the area is now heavily urbanized and encroached upon.[1]
A large windcatcher used to be part of the complex. It still survives, but it is used as a garbage dump.[1]
