Mahmudul Hassan Hafiz Choudhury (born 23 November 1993), known professionally as Hassan Choudhury, is a British film producer and line producer based in Birmingham, England. He is the director of HC Films Limited, a Birmingham-based production services company incorporated in August 2021,[1][2] which facilitates Indian film productions shooting in the United Kingdom.
Career
In 2025, Choudhury served as line producer on Mastiii 4, a Hindi-language comedy film directed by Milap Zaveri and starring Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivdasani, which included a shoot schedule in the United Kingdom.
He also served as co-producer on Devi Chowdhurani: Bandit Queen of Bengal (2025), a Bengali-language historical period film directed by Subhrajit Mitra and starring Prosenjit Chatterjee and Srabanti Chatterjee, released theatrically on 26 September 2025. HC Films Limited served as one of the UK co-producers alongside Moringa Studios.[3][4][5] In June 2024, the film received official Indo-UK co-production status under the 2007 Indo-UK film co-production treaty — the first Bengali-language film to achieve this designation — recognised by India's Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the NFDC, the Film Facilitation Office and Invest India, alongside the UK's British Film Institute and Department for Culture, Media and Sport.[3] Choudhury is named as co-producer on the film's production credits.
