Hayley Bolding

Hayley Bolding is an Australian NGO founder and fundraiser with a background in international development, education and volunteering in Australia and Asia. She is the co-founder of Atma, an NGO based in Mumbai, India. Hayley was named Young Victorian of the Year in 2012.

Background[edit]

Bolding was born in Melbourne and grew up in Lakes Entrance, Victoria, Australia. She graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelors in International Studies. Prior to founding Atma she worked with CanTeen, an Australian organisation that supports young people living with cancer.

At 23 Bolding travelled to India and founded the NGO Atma, which grew from a start-up to a well respected non-profit engaging multiple partner organisations. Atma has been nationally recognised for its volunteer program and has international chapters in Australia, Canada and The Netherlands. Bolding left Atma in 2012 and now heads Atma's International Fundraising Chapters.

She is a board member of the Victorian Australia Day Committee, a steering committee member of the Australia India Youth Dialogue, and is an Asialink Leaders Program alumni. She has also previously held roles at The Australia India Institute and Melbourne University.

Recognition[edit]

In November 2012 Bolding was named Young Victorian of the Year 2012. By virtue of that award, she was nominated for the Young Australian of the Year Award the following year.[1][2][3]
