Hayotel[1] (also known as Hayo, Hayo Network) is an American multinational telecommunications company. It has a registered office and global headquarters in New York, USA. It offers and operates services globally in Europe, Asia, Oceania, and especially Africa. Hayo[2] has been providing a wide range of Fixed, Mobile, WiMax, and WiFi services. Hayo has been one of the major telecom operators in the African region including Orange Senegal, Tigo Senegal, and Expresso.[3] Hayo has international POPs in the USA and London providing services such as SMS, Voice, DIDs, Data, and other services related to telecommunication. Hayo works in direct relationship with local operators including mobile network operator (MNO) and mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) globally, especially in Africa.

Hayo SA, now a subsidiary of Hayotel, is an operational entity of Consortium du Service Universel (CSU).[4] CSU is a consortium of companies. The consortium is composed of five companies. CSU has a Universal Services License for the provision of telecommunication services like Fixed Line, GSM, Voice Services, WiMax based Internet Data, and Video Services. The license was issued to CSU through a public bid in 2009. The consortium was supported by technical and financial partners for launching the services and shaped a Joint Venture with its partner company, Hayotelecom.
The services were started in the Pilot Region of Matam in Senegal. Hayo’s regional office was established in Ourossogui, Matam. The office covers 6,000 ft² and is located near the main highway.
Hayo was founded on 23 January 2014 and was officially inaugurated on 21st March 2013 by the President of Senegal, H. E. Macky Sall.[5]

Direct Inward Dialing (DID)[edit]
DID allows a telephone service provider to connect a chunk of telephone numbers to a company’s Private Branch Exchange (PBX). Hayo launched DID services in 2021 during the pandemic. Hayo has partnerships for the provision of DIDs across countries in Africa and other continents. The company also provides two-way voice services and two-way SMS services in certain countries as well.
Application-to-person Messaging (A2P Messaging)[edit]
Hayo works as an aggregator alongside other mobile network operators and provides direct authority to its portfolio of sensitive customers including banks, and enterprises.
P2P SMS[edit]
Hayo provides direct connectivity for its retail P2P traffic.
Voice Services[edit]
Hayo also provides services for leveraging international traffic coming into multiple African countries in collaboration with international carriers globally including Etisalat, Vodafone, and Airtel.
CPaaS[edit]
Hayo offers omnichannel CPaaS platform services to multinational and local businesses.
E-world Centers[edit]
Hayo provides professional services such as scanning, fax, photocopy, and print. It also offers public access points for broadband internet services such as chat, browse, email, etc.[6]
Fixed Services[edit]
Hayo offers pre-configured fixed-line phones which are all IP-based.
Mobile phone[edit]
Hayo provides mobile phone services covering urban and rural areas throughout Senegal.
WiMAX/ WiFi-Based[edit]
Hayo provides broadband services to offices and homes via WiMAX and WiFi-based networks.[7]
