Haystack News (formerly Haystack TV) is an American over-the-top content platform and ad-supported streaming service offering local, national and international news for free.[1]

Users can select topics of interest, favorite news publishers, and local news providers to create personalized news playlists.[2] Haystack News also offers 24-hour live news channels including ABC News Live, CBSN, Newsmax, Al Jazeera, Cheddar News, DW, Euronews, i24NEWS, Newsy, Yahoo Finance and dozens of local news stations.[3]

Haystack News is available on smart TVs manufactured by Hisense, LG, Samsung, Sony, TCL and Vizio, as well as OTT streaming platforms including Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Roku, Chromecast. Haystack news is also available Android and iOS mobile devices.

Haystack News's partners include Cox Media Group, Hearst Television, Hubbard Broadcasting, Meredith Corporation, The EW Scripps Company, ABC News, CBS News, Bloomberg, Cheddar, Morris Multimedia, Euronews, Africanews, DW among others.[4] In all, Haystack News has more than 350 content partners.[5]

The company was founded in 2013 as Haystack TV by software engineers Daniel Barreto and Ish Harshawat.[6] The app launched in 2014 with backing from Zorlu Ventures, the National Association of Broadcasters and Stanford’s StartX Fund.[7]

In 2020, the company rebranded from Haystack TV to Haystack News and launched an interactive news ticker called “Newsline.”[8]
