He Ting Ru (Chinese: 何廷儒; pinyin: Hé Tíng Rú; born 1982/1983) is a Singaporean politician and lawyer.

Early life[edit]

He was educated at CHIJ Saint Nicholas Girls' School and Raffles Junior College. She graduated with an undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University before reading law in London.[2]

Political career[edit]

He began volunteering with the Workers' Party (WP) in the Paya Lebar division in 2011.[3] She was fielded as part of the 5-person team in the 2015 general election in Marine Parade GRC where the team garnered 35.9% of the polled votes.[4]

At the 2020 general election, He stood as a candidate in Sengkang GRC.[5]

He previously served as Secretary of the Workers' Party Youth Wing, and oversees the Youth Wing's outreach efforts in the areas of Service, Education and Heritage.[6]

Personal life[edit]

Since 2013, He has been Head of Legal and Communications of a listed multinational company which oversees legal and communications matters in Asia, North America, Europe and Africa.[7]

She trained and qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales with a Magic Circle firm, working in London and Frankfurt, before joining a European financial institution in Singapore as a derivatives lawyer.[8]

Since January 2016, He has been married to Terence Tan, with whom she has two sons. He and Tan were both part of the WP team contesting Marine Parade GRC in 2015 along with Firuz Khan, Dylan Ng and Yee Jenn Jong.[1]
