A health kiosk is a device that provides its users with health related services such as clinical measurement collection, remote doctor's appointments, or access to health information. [1] In contrast with medical kiosks that strictly serve medical use cases, health kiosks may also offer other health related services, such as collection and analysis of users' fitness data.
Fully autonomous health kiosks[edit]
Fully autonomous health kiosks are health kiosks intended to be used by end-users completely without the assistance of hired personnel. Fully autonomous health kiosks don't require any maintenance in their daily operations in addition to regular cleaning of public spaces.
Medicubex claims to be the first to have achieved this level of autonomy in a health kiosk that produces data that professionals can use to evaluate customers' health and well-being as well as risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.[2] The Medicubex eHealth Station has been adopted for patient use at Vuosaari health and well-being centre.[3]
