Health and Social Care Chaplaincy
Health and Social Care Chaplaincy (HSCC)
Health and Social Care Chaplaincy (HSCC) [1] is a contemporary bi-annual peer-reviewed international journal that assists health and social care chaplains to explore the art and science of spiritual care within a variety of contexts.[2] The journals core focus is upon the professional work of contemporary chaplains. The journal is a relatively new journal being founded in 2013 through the merger of the previously long standing Journal of Health Care Chaplaincy (England) (issn:1748-801X) and the Scottish Journal of Healthcare Chaplaincy (issn:1463-9920). It continues to be the official journal of the College of Health Care Chaplains (UK). HSCC has affiliated links with other chaplaincy associations including the 'National Association of Health care Chaplains' (Ireland), the 'European Network of Health Care Chaplaincy', 'Spiritual Care Australia' and the 'New Zealand Health Care Chaplains Association'.
Other journals of a similar nature include the US Journal of Health Care Chaplaincy (published by Taylor and Francis) and the longer standing Journal of Religion and Health (endorsed by the Blanton-Peale Institute & Counselling Center and published by Springer, New York).
