Dr. Hedgewar Hospital (officially known as Dr. Hedgewar Rugnalaya) is a charitable hospital in Chatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. It was established in 1989 as a 10-bed hospital, as one of the main projects of the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Vaidyakiya Pratishthan foundation. As of 2022, the hospital had treated more than seven million patients.[1][unreliable source?]
Services
As of 2022 and since the expansion in 2010, the hospital has 300 beds and runs medical services in many specialties.[citation needed]
In 2023, Direct Relief procured diagnostic machinery for the hospital in order to establish an infectious disease department.[2]
