Helene von Nostitz
Helene von Nostitz (born November 18 1878 in Berlin; died July 17 1944 in Bassenheim) was a German, noblewoman, salonniere, writer and novelist.
Life
Von Nostitz was a German writer and novelist. She wrote several books. Von Nostitz was a niece of German statesman and president of Germany Paul von Hindenburg. In her childhood she lived in Florence and Berlin. Later she lived as young woman in Paris in the home of her grandfather and diplomat Georg Herbert zu Münster.[1] She was a daughter of Conrad von Beneckendorff und von Hindenburg (1839–1913) and Sophie Thusnelde Wilhelmine zu Münster-Grothaus (1851–1933). In 1904, she married German diplomat Alfred von Nostitz-Wallwitz (1870-1953). She lived after World War I with her husband in Berlin.[2] In 1933, she signed Gelöbnis treuester Gefolgschaft.[3]
